It would be a damnably beautiful day outside if it wasn't so bloody windy. I've been on a huge rebetiko kick lately, but you probably already know that because I think everyone who reads this also reads my Livejournal.

Trying to use this more often...

I make no secret of the fact that my A material (if it can be called that, which is doubtful) goes on Livejournal. I shall attempt to remedy that, but since I'm fairly mentally fatigued today after the combination of night shift and illness you'll still have to wait. And I'm nowhere near as scintillating as I was years ago; having a full-time job does that, when I have to spend time thinking about pumps and flow rates and that kind of boring nonsense rather than letting my mind wander freely.

Rats from a sinking ship?

Apparently Livejournal, which is my primary blog (and, sadly, the closest thing to a "social life" that I have,) has fired a bunch of people, and there are panicky rumors it might fold entirely. This may cause me to post more here, and hopefully in that case I'll end up with more of a readership here. We'll see what happens; I have my doubts about whether Livejournal, which is a site with quite a great number of users at least some of whom pay for it and/or buy things from the companies which advertise there, is going to disappear.

Feeding an internet addiction...

It seems Livejournal is down... I'm starting a blog here because of that and other issues. Nothing much to say at the moment, alas. It's freezing outside and I don't much want to go to work tomorrow. Blah blah blah moan kvetch.
